Chris joined SDDirect in April 2016 as Finance Director. His responsibilities include all aspects of the financial management of SDDirect, including financial reporting, budgeting, pricing, commercial management and financial risk management. He also acts as Company Secretary.
With over 30 years of experience, Chris has worked in the development sector since 2004. He brings expertise in managing all financial aspects of large donor funded projects, including working with FCDO, EC, EBRD, World Bank, UN and DFAT.
Chris has a lot of experience working in a fast-growing environment, ensuring that the growth is managed and balanced with profitability, and that systems and controls grow in line with the company’s needs. He also brings experience in implementing financial management systems, and improving financial reporting to aid decision making during periods of rapid change. He has extensive experience in modelling new business scenarios and producing strategic growth plans.
He holds a BSc in Microbiology and Virology and is a fully qualified Chartered Accountant.
Outside work Chris enjoys running (slowly), cycling, hiking and cooking.
