Natasha is a Technical Specialist in SDDirect’s Gender-based Violence portfolio, where she provides technical and research expertise, including as a researcher on the Ending Violence against Women and Children Helpdesk. She brings strong programming, research, project management and MEL skills to the technical team, with an emphasis on intersectional and participatory feminist approaches.
Natasha has a strong interest in Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) gained through 14 years of professional experience working across the intersections of gender and Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH), indigenous people’s rights, older people’s rights, and drug policy, at organisations including WaterAid, Minority Rights Group, HelpAge International and Health Poverty Action.
Prior to joining SDDirect Natasha was most recently part of the Programmes and Learning team at Womankind Worldwide, where she worked in partnership with women’s rights organisations across Africa and Asia to design and deliver intersectional programmes and research focused on strengthening feminist movements, ending violence against women and girls, promoting women’s participation and leadership, and strengthening women’s economic rights. This included managing the Comic Relief funded Collective Action to Realise Equality (CARE) programme in Zimbabwe, alongside research and programmes working with women and girls with disabilities, Indigenous women, LBTQI+ women and young women and girls. In her time at Womankind she also supported diverse advocacy initiatives and collaborated to set up the organisation’s flagship policy and advocacy grants mechanism (Her Voice Fund).
Natasha holds an MSc in Violence, Conflict and Development from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) University of London, and a BA (Hons) in International Development with International Relations from the University of Leeds.
Outside of work Natasha enjoys taking dance classes, travelling and seeing wildlife wherever she can.
