Anisha joined SDDirect in October 2021 as a Technical Analyst, with a focus on the Governance and Inclusive Societies portfolio, including work on the Disability Inclusion Helpdesk.

Anisha’s experience within the international development sector cuts across our technical areas including girls education, health, climate change, with country experience in Mozambique, Kenya, Uganda, Bangladesh, Nigeria and Ghana. She has key skills in business development, project management, research, Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) and communications. Anisha’s previous experience includes providing M&E assistance to the Sustainable Energy, Access and Gender (SEAG) Final Evaluation and the Evaluation of Strategic Approaches to Girls Education (STAGE). Anisha has also project managed one World Bank and two large FCDO programmes.

Anisha’s work at SDDirect includes the FCDO Partnership for Learning for All in Nigerian Education (PLANE) programme within the Gender and Social Inclusion (GESI) Team. Anisha has assisted in creating the GESI Strategy for the inception phase. Activities have included conducting key situational research on the states PLANE will operate, creating briefs which condense the GESI Strategy into digestible information, and designing the GESI workplan for the inception and implementation phase.

Anisha achieved first class honours in an Integrated Master’s degree in Geography from the University of Birmingham, and studied at the National University of Singapore as part of an exchange year, followed by a Social Development MA at the University of Sussex, with a specific focus on Gender and Education.

In her spare time, Anisha enjoys anything active, going to live music events and spending time with her family and friends.
