front page of document
Date published

This pocket guide has been developed to support CSOs in Bangladesh to safeguard people with disabilities. It is a contextualised version of a global guidance note on disability-inclusive safeguarding practices. The guide may be useful for all staff, especially those working in programmes, monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL), proposal/business development and community engagement. An accompanying guide has also been developed that focuses on disability-inclusive safeguarding in the workplace for CSOs in the development and humanitarian sector, which is available here

The pocket guide is split into three sections:

  1. Overview of the country context.

  1. Risks of harm, including sexual exploitation and abuse, that people with disabilities face in programmes.

  1. Managing the risks identified and how to make your safeguarding measures disability inclusive.
