The CLEAN Helpdesk is a dedicated support system for UK officials to fulfil the climate and nature ambitions outlined in UK aid policy. It provides technical assistance and rapid response to drive impactful, inclusive action and advance climate, environment and nature goals. The consortium is led by SouthSouthNorth, with partners ODI, Paul Watkiss Associates, and SDDirect.
Our team has developed a GEDSI strategy and approach for the CLEAN Helpdesk. We lead on mainstreaming GEDSI within the programme integrating GEDSI into technical assistance requests, and providing guidance on how to make the programme more accessible and inclusive, for example through communications and website design.
As MEL leads, we developed a GEDSI-responsive MEL framework and theory of change for the programme. We are responsible for monitoring and evaluating programme performance.
We developed a safeguarding framework for the programme and delivered a tailored safeguarding training for the consortium.
