Sabine is a SDDirect Senior Associate with almost 20 years of experience in gender, diversity and inclusion. Her most recent work focuses on facilitating women’s economic empowerment and inclusive economic development through entrepreneurship, business environment reform, skills development and infrastructure provision.
For Social Development Direct, Sabine is currently part of a team supporting Propcom+, an FCDO-funded market-systems development programme in Nigeria, to deliver its ambitious gender and inclusion targets. Sabine has also just completed a Guidance Note on Unpaid Care and Domestic Work for the FCDO’s global flagship programme on women’s economic empowerment Work and Opportunities for Women.
Previously, Sabine worked at Adam Smith International and Oxford Policy Management and was the Gender and Inclusion Lead at both organisations. She also chaired ASI’s global Diversity & Inclusion Committee where she reported to the CEO and Board and led initiatives on mental health, work-life-balance and women in leadership between 2017 and 2019.
