Inez joined SDD in May 2022 as the Eastern Europe Hub Manager for the Safeguarding Resource and Support Hub, bringing in technical expertise in safeguarding and extensive project management skills. Inez has experience in leading complex, multi-disciplinary projects and demonstrated understanding of the complexities of Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse at an organisational and operational level, including awareness of gender, culture, policy and systems in effective prevention and protection.
Before joining us, Inez has been working with Steering Committee for Humanitarian Response (SCHR) as the Misconduct Disclosure Scheme Coordinator, leading the implementation of an employment cycle initiative aiming to strengthen referencing practice. During her time with SCHR Inez has been involved in CHS Alliance’s and SCHR’s wider PSEAH work.
Throughout her career, Inez supported various other projects within the humanitarian and development sector, such as the development of the InterAction’s Gender-Based Violence Prevention Evaluation Framework and the work of the Independent Commission on Sexual Misconduct, Accountability and Culture Change at Oxfam. She also held multiple administrative positions within Oxfam’s Humanitarian Team.
From 2018 onwards she has been actively involved in projects focusing on the organisational culture change, supporting the Culture Change Working Group at Oxfam and more recently the CHS Alliance’s Culture Lab.
Inez is passionate about gender justice and LGBTQI+ rights. In her spare time, she enjoys road cycling and traveling.
