Privacy Notice for applicants

If you apply to work with us, information provided by you will be used to carry out our recruitment and selection process. Information will be held securely and disclosed to those involved in the recruitment process within Social Development Direct. If selected to join our consultant roster, your name and email will be added to our consultant database, and you will be contacted for further processing.

For those who are invited to interview, we may process information about whether applicants have a disability or impairment so we can make adjustments during the recruitment process and implement the Disability Confident scheme. Our HR team will ask you to confirm that you have read our privacy notice and consent to providing this information before doing so.

If unsuccessful, your information is stored securely for up to six months after conclusion of the recruitment campaign, after which it is securely disposed of (unless we need to retain it for longer to exercise or defend any legal claims).

If you are shortlisted or invited to join our consultant database, we will keep your CV on file for up to three years, to match your expertise with suitable opportunities in the future, unless you inform us that you do not consent to this. This is due to the specialist nature of our business and our frequent requirement to resource a diversity of technical experts.

Successful applicants’ data will be handled in accordance with the information provided in our Employee and Consultant Privacy Notices.

If you no longer wish to be contacted by us about recruitment, or you would like us to delete your details, please contact us at unsubscribe@sddirect.org.uk and we will arrange for your data to be deleted from our systems.

We will ask you to confirm that you have read the privacy information and accept the processing of your data in line with this privacy notice. As part of this acceptance you will be agreeing to the following statements:

  • I certify, that to the best of my knowledge, the information I have provided in the application is true and accurate. I understand that any false, incomplete or misleading statements may lead to the withdrawal of any offer of employment or for services or to my dismissal if these are discovered once employed or engaged as a consultant.

  • I consent to Social Development Direct contacting me if any other vacancies or opportunities arise that may be of interest to me based on the information I have provided in this application.

We update our website on a weekly basis with any new job openings. We invite you to visit it regularly: http://www.sddirect.org.uk/about/work-with-us.
