Beatriz is a Senior Programme Manager with over ten years’ experience in international development. Since joining SDDirect, she has provided Project Management support to projects of varying sizes and complexities, including FCDO funded programmes as the Disability Inclusion Helpdesk and the Work and Opportunities for Women (WOW) Helpdesk. She has also worked with private sector and non-HMG clients including the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the World Bank amongst others.
Beatriz is responsible for ongoing, end-to-end effective project management, and delivery of programme outputs in line with value for money principles, overseeing project workplans, managing multi-disciplinary teams and establishing effective working relationships. She is also responsible for overseeing changes and adaptations to SDDirect’s internal operating systems and plays a leadership role within the Programmes Team to support colleagues across the team in effective implementation of policies and processes.
Beatriz fulfils her interest in topics related with mental health and wellbeing by being a Mental Health Ally, and a member of SDDirect’s Wellbeing Action Group.
Prior to joining SDDirect, Beatriz worked with non-governmental organisations (NGOs) globally, for instance as Project Coordinator in Mozambique on the Energy and Environment Partnerships Programme with Southern and Eastern Africa. She holds PRINCE2 Practitioner, and PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner certificates; has foundation studies in Business Accounting with CIMA, and in Psychology with the Universidade de Évora.
