Valeria joined SDDirect in March 2024 as a Technical Specialist in the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) portfolio. She brings an academic background in international development and humanitarian emergencies and three years' experience in the management and technical delivery of MEL assignments. She has experience in working across a range of thematic areas in international development, including health, social protection, education, and forced migration.
In her previous role as Research Manager at Ecorys UK, Valeria contributed to several multi-country and multi-year evaluations, working across research design, data collection, analysis and reporting to deliver work for a range government agencies, non-profit actors, and multilateral organisations. At SDDirect, she is supporting the design and implementation of MEL projects and providing GESI technical skills across different portfolios.
Valeria received a Distinction in her International Development and Humanitarian Emergencies MSc from the London School of Economics and Political Science. She also holds a BA in Politics and International Relations from the University of Nottingham, awarded with first class honours. Valeria speaks English, Italian, and basic French.
