Teresa has three decades of professional expertise in addressing gender equality, disability, and social inclusion across social, environmental, political, financial, and economic projects within civil society and public and private sector organisations. Before relocating to Chile in 2012, she served a decade as a social development adviser for the British government's Department for International Development.
Teresa's extensive experience encompasses desk-based, field research, organizational support and capacity building within Latin America's low- and middle-income countries. In recent years, she has provided technical assistance on Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) to climate change and financial inclusion programmes in Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, and Venezuela.
Proficient in spoken and written Spanish and English, Teresa also holds the position of associate professor of Gender and Sexuality Studies at the Universidad Diego Portales in Santiago, Chile.
